Stopic Cave
The Stopycha cave is located on the northeast side of Mount Zlatibor between the villages of Fear and Trnava, 250 km from Belgrade, 30 km from Uzhica and only 19 km from the tourist centre of Zlatibor. The Stopich Cave is a river cave 1691 m long, through which the Trnava stream flows, which creates a special microclimate. In winter, it is cool, and in summer, it is warm.
The Stopich Cave consists of five parts: Bright Hall, Dark Hall, Large Bathroom, Small Bathroom, and River Canal. The thickness of limestone reaches more than 100 m and belongs to the Triassic period. Part of the cave, available for tourists, is attractive to the waterfall "Source of Life" with a height of 10 m, which is created by cascading baths up to 7 meters deep. The entrance of the cave will impress anyone - 18 meters in height and 35 meters wide - it is located on the side of the Prystavitsa River at an altitude of 711 m above sea level.
The cave has been open and ennobled for tourists since 2009 - it is a pleasure to explore the cave on convenient paths.
Hotel Falls
The most interesting hydrological phenomenon on Zlatibor is the Hotel Waterfall. The waterfall is located in the village of Hotel at a distance of 25 km from the center of Zlatibor. On the Hotel River, before its mouth into the Katushnitsa River, water falls from a height of 20 m (from a high limestone rock). Further, downstream to the mouth in the river Cotushnitsa, the flow builds a large number of smaller waterfalls. Despite the ennobled area around the waterfall - there are paths and bridges - you can feel the full power and beauty of its original nature.
Syrogyono
26 km from the tourist centre of Zlatibor, in the village of Sirrogino, is the unique museum of Serbia "Old Village" in the open air, founded in 1979. The museum covers an area of about 5 hectares near the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul. Ancient wooden huts brought here from all the outskirts of Zlatibor and restored for the museum exposition.
Some of the houses are open to the public and in them completely recreated the life and way of life of the Serbian village of the XIX century. with an authentic interior. Life at that time was special – because people lived in family other ages (the collective) who had many members (even 50). Ethnic wardrobe includes genuine vanes of the dinary type, which were always built on the slope, on the sunny side. The houses are quadrangular, log walls, covered with a dance, stone slabs or straw. On the roofs there were holes (budgea) for air circulation, and at the top there was a chimney.
In Zlatiborsk, the central place was occupied by the “main house” and it was the largest. The main house consisted of a ‘home’ and the room, and there was a basement under the room. In the hut were the eastern and western doors, which, in addition to the main, had symbolic meaning. Everything good and beautiful was in the east (newborn child, bride, kom, guest), and all the bad came out in the west (the deceased, garbage). In the center of the family house there was an unquenchable hearth, on which food was prepared. Around the hearth in the evenings gathered family, agreed on work the next day and immediately slept.
The other part of the houses is adapted for the tourist infrastructure - there are shops of souvenirs, innards and residential apartments.
The village for centuries was famous for its knitters. Since the 70-ies of the last century, a cooperative was organized here, which began the production of wool products, which were very popular throughout Yugoslavia and beyond.
