Bar
The city of Bar has been especially popular among tourists for many years and is ideal for families with children. Bar is located in the Bar Riviera, 40 km from Budva, 1 hour drive from Tivat airport and 45 minutes from Podgorica.
With over 270 sunny days a year, Bar is one of the sunniest cities in Europe.
Bar is divided into New Town and Old Town. New Bar is a modern city, the main seaport that connects Montenegro with Italy by ferry, with a long promenade, wide beaches and a railway station where trains from Belgrade arrive. The city is surrounded by cypress and coniferous trees, and is also famous for shopping and walking lovers, as there is a huge selection of shops, restaurants and the largest market.

The main part of the resort area in the summer (approximately from June 1 to September 15) is intended only for pedestrians. The promenade walks along the coast across the city, resting directly on the sea. It is here that you can buy a variety of souvenirs that are actively advertised by shopkeepers and sellers of
The Old Olive Tree and nearby Old Town symbolize a deep respect for heritage and continuity. Residents value family ties, hospitality, and close community relationships. Modern urban life blends naturally with traditional values, especially in food, music, and celebrations. Living in Bar means balancing simplicity, warmth, and a strong connection to nature and the Adriatic coast.
