The Old Town of Ulcinj
The first stop is the Old Town of Ulcinj, which is more than 2500 years old. It is one of the most authentic cities in Montenegro. The city of Ulcinj outdated the conquerors such as the Illyrians, Greeks, Romans, Slavs and in the end, the Turks. In golden times, the city was known as the “pirate nest” and “capital of the slave trade”, when the pirates of Ult Vind ruled the waters of the Adriatic and the Mediterranean Sea and kept as a slave the famous Spanish writer Miguel de Cervantes.

The book “Don Quixote”, according to legend, was written on the basis of real events, when Cervantes arrived in Ulcinj, in those times the city was called “Dulcino”, where the name of the main character of the novel Dulsiney appeared, which means a girl from Utsinin. During a walk through the Old Town of Ulcinj, you will visit the ethnographic museum, the slave area, see the prison where Cervantes and the famous Kalaya citadel, built by the ancient Greeks, spent 5 years.
The Old Town of Bar
Then the journey continues to the Old Town of Bar, an amphitheater city in the open air. The old city of Bar is surrounded by a powerful fortress wall, in ancient times the city was famous for its wealth and prosperity, just look at the clock tower, the ruins of the episcopal house or the princely palace, to imagine all the splendor of the city, before it was destroyed by an earthquake and explosions of a powder warehouse.
The cost is 45 euros per adult, 36 euros for children under 12 years (for tourists living in hotels in Budva, Becici, Rafailovici, St. Stefan, Przno, Petrovace).
